Residents of Lockhart will interview and photograph people who they believe are making a difference in the community.
This material will be compiled into a book to showcase the area’s local champions. The book will be titled Heroes of the Community.

It is just one project which has attracted state funding. This project has been instigated by the Lockhart Shire Council Youth Advisory Committee and attracted $2340 in funding.
On Wednesday Wagga-based National’s MLC Wes Fang visited Lockhart to announce funding from the Country Arts Program.
The Lockhart and District Historical Society has received $3900 to produce a public mural designed by local Wiradjuri artist and mosaic designer Francessca O’Donnell.
“This project will portray an historic interpretation of 10 Indigenous panels depicting pre settlement in Lockhart” Mr Fang said.
