Shannon Bahr of The Rock took her children along to the opening and said they loved the new pool.
"It is an amazing new pool ... it is great having a park and basketball area there too," she said.
Mrs Bahr said the children were thrilled with the fact the new pool was heated and also had a spring board at the deep end.
The pool comes after the official opening of the new facility at Lockhart this time last year and completes a large-scale project for Lockhart Shire Council.

Mayor Rodger Schirmer said the new swimming pools were designed in consultation with the community.
"The Rock community will benefit from the upgrade which included new pool shells with wet decks, all abilities access ramps, new modern and energy efficient pool filtration systems, new barbecue, playground and shade areas as well as modern amenities buildings," he said.
A grant of $1.5 million was provided by the NSW Government's stronger communities fund to assist with both the Lockhart and The Rock swimming pool upgrades.
Member for Cootamundra and parliamentary secretary to the deputy premier, Steph Cooke visited the pool on Saturday and said attractive leisure facilities had great benefits for communities.
"Swimming is one of the great Aussie pastimes, with great benefits for fitness, well-being and socialising," Mrs Cooke said.
