She is a regular face at the Osborne Football and Netball Club and currently holds the role as the under 14s coach.
It is a fitting position given the fact she played netball for the eastern Riverina club for 25 years.
It is a sport she loves and giving back and helping the younger players develop their skills has provided her with a rewarding platform.
A knee reconstruction a couple of years ago affected her own playing career and she says helping out and coaching keeps her involved.
“It is enjoyable, even though I can’t play I still like it and this is a great way to be involved I umpire as well,” she said.
“This is a family orientated club and it is just down the road for me,” she said.
“It feels like home.” Her sons Peter, 9, and Jesse, 7, both play footy at Osborne too.
In addition to her coaching role she also helps out at Pleasant Hills with the local parents and citizens group as well as the community hotel.
And for those in the agricultural sector she is a regular face at the Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre where she works for Riverina Livestock Agents.
She has been working there for 15 years.
On the home property, “Locksley”, her family run sheep and winter crops.
For her the eastern Riverina is a region that offers farming opportunities and a supportive community.
