A brilliant spell of bowling from Mark Taylor, of 4/4 off eight overs, set up the win, with captain Tom Simmons taking 3/19 in great support.
Blake Lieschke (23) and a patient (15) from Andrew Lewis kept the visitors afloat as Walla replied with a seven-wicket victory.
Simmons was unbeaten on (26) when the target was achieved with Justin Carter making (22). Brett Mugridge took two wickets for Walbundrie.
Brock Burrum showed they are one of the teams to beat, with a big win over Osborne at Burrumbuttock by 45 runs.
Josh Koschitzke (73) was the leading scorer for the round, as the Saints posted 8/164. Ed Perryman 3/40 and Nick Madden 2/32 were best for Osborne.
In reply, the visitors never recovered from the loss of four early wickets and were bowled out for 119, with Darren Howard top-scoring on (32) and Madden (24).
Eddie Ziebarth, Trent and Darcy I'Anson all took two wickets in an impressive and ominous warning to other clubs.
A superb all-round effort from new Holbrook captain Corey McCarthy was the catalyst for the Brookers' seven wicket win over Culcairn at Billabong High Oval.
McCarthy finished not out on (78) after taking 3/13 off eight overs in the Culcairn innings of 9/141, the Brookers lost just three wickets in the chase.
Hamish Mackinlay made (28) in a good stand with McCarthy. Dai Jenkins was the pick of the Lions bowlers with 1/12. Daniel Rooke top-scored for Culcairn with (42).
Lockhart proved far too strong for TRYC at Lockhart, winning comfortably by eight wickets to move into equal fourth spot.
TRYC struggled throughout its innings, with Ben Willis top-scoring with (38) after a rare failure from skipper Todd Hannam. TRYC finished its overs at 8/91.
The Demons made short work of the run chase with Jordan Harrington (36) and Brad McMillian (31 no) leading the charge.
Rand bounced back from last round's shock loss by defeating Henty by six wickets at Yerong Creek and moving into third place on the ladder.
Henty was bundled out for 69 with the top score coming from sundries which were (21), Greg Schuller was the only batter to make double figures with (15).
Despite being in dire trouble at 3/3, the Pigeons reset nicely to finish with 4/72, with Clint Ralston (32). Dave White was again superb for Henty, taking 2/5 off eight overs.
