Pilots intending to mark this local event will fly into Henty using Trevor Haines's airstrip, west of Henty.
The planes are expected to arrive in Henty early morning as their next stop is into Benalla around noon.
At least three planes are expected and possibly more that will wish to mark the historic event by landing in Henty.
Planes will be modern aircraft with no vintage aircraft expected to land.
The strip also limits landing to smaller aircraft.
However, the famous Australian Explorer Michael Smith is expected to land in Henty with his amphibian aircraft, The Sea Bear. Michael and his Sea Bear have made the trip from England and will finish their epic journey in Adelaide a few days later.
Henty is the only stop scheduled between Cootamundra and Benalla.
New touchscreen technology has allowed the installation of a touchscreen at the Headlie Taylor Header Museum.
The touchscreen is operated through the glass and allows the operator to select a photographic timeline with rare film and short video stories and photographs attached to a particular era of Headlie Taylor's life as well as photographs from the blacksmith shop.
In addition, you can participate in a survey where you can rate, suggest and comment on the presentation, through the touchscreen, which will assist in the improvement of the presentation.
Funding for this project came via a grant from Riverina Water.
Those artists, photographers and quilters who are thinking of entering Henty's Art Photography and Quilting Exhibition must fill in an entry form. Additional information can be found by contacting either Kerrie Scholz for Art/Quilting or Bernard Clark for photography. Forms need to be in by Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
