St Paul's School, Henty has welcomed two students from Oberrot a town in the district of Schwbisch Hall in Baden-Wrttemberg, Germany. Emma-Colleen (14) and Joshua (12) are visiting Australia with their parents and will be staying with their uncle in Henty before continuing their Australian adventure. Both students will be teacher aides in the classroom and are excited for their opportunity in the school and to learn more of our English language. St Paul's Pre-loved toy and book sale is now to be held on September 27. Leticia O'Brien is looking for unwanted toys and books to be dropped to the school by Friday, August 30.
Three members from Henty's Men's Shed travelled to Beechworth, Victoria, for a cluster meeting of men's sheds from both sides of the Murray River. Sheds represented were from the Australian Men's Shed Association and the Victorian Men's Shed Association. Guest speaker was Rachael Andrew who is the Acting Director Regional Partnership and Planning DHHS. She was invited to speak on Albury-Wodonga Health discharge practices. Around 1000 men and women attended.
Chayse Montgomery, Ryan Klemke, Ashton Scholz and Darcy Doughty are to be congratulated for their efforts over the past year in raising funds for homeless children. Through the sales of caps, beanies, T-shirts and stubbie holders the boys raised a net of $10,000, which was handed over to Mission Australia representatives.
