Southern NSW was hoping for some decent rainfall to offer a reprieve from all of the dust and dry conditions.
For Henty Public School pupils the rain was something they wanted. A lot of the children are from farming families and Henty, with it's iconic connection as the birth place of the header and home to Henty Machinery Field Days, is certainly a rural town.
To tie in with the theme of rain the township of Henty, it's people and children feature prominently in the music clip for the song Raindance.
In fact, the video is a "who's who" of local faces and places in Henty.
And for the school it was certainly a special opportunity.
Tina Roworth of Henty Public School said about 30 pupils were involved in the music video. There is a scene where the children can be seen running to the school fence.
Mrs Roworth said there was a lot of hope for rain on Friday. She said the region really needed it.
Year 6 student, Misty Chambers, 11, loved the experience of working with Sara Storer. Misty said she had written a poem and shared it with Sara Storer.
For Year 5 student, Bec Zweck the participation in a music clip is something she will remember fondly. Bec talked about putting her hair in beautiful ringlets for the occasion.
And Jason Chambers, 10, who is a Year 5 student at Henty said it was certainly fun to work with the producers and be in the music video.
