Author and guest speaker Kerry Anderson will be in the shire to discuss all things relating to business and growth opportunities.
The event is at the Lockhart Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Thursday, October, 18 from 6pm to 9pm.
In addition to the evening talk, our guest speaker, Kerry Anderson, has offered an extra workshop the next morning for students and the community to explore what the keys are for rural communities surviving in a fast changing world.
The morning workshop is on Friday, October, 19 from 10am to 12 noon at the Lockhart Central School Gym. This is a free event and all are welcome.
The Lockhart Shire Business Forum is a free event too and promises to provide practical information, ideas and networking opportunities to help local businesses start up and grow.
The launch of the new Lockhart Shire Online Business Directory will be followed by an in depth talk by Mrs Anderson.
Mrs Anderson is the author of Entrepreneurship: It’s Everybody’s Business and she is a renowned advocate for rural businesses and entrepreneurs.
In an age where rural businesses need to be able to articulate a unique story to compete in an increasingly competitive market she helps to share positive stories of rural businesses across Australia.
Mrs Anderson will provide small business owners with a simple ‘health check’ and practical strategies to strengthen their businesses into the future.
She will also talk about practical ways to reinvigorate rural communities, opportunities to attract new residents and retaining young people by establishing entrepreneurial ecosystems to strengthen rural communities into the future.
The conference is free for small business operators in the Lockhart Shire region and is inclusive of an evening meal.
