We take a look back at some of the photos from previous Henty Machinery Field Days events. This year patrons and exhibitors are facing the prospect of experiencing Henty in a drought year.
However, the archive images show that this filed day has received it’s fair share of weather over the years. There have been plenty of wet field days with lots of mud and a few gumboots in the mix.
And the images from the popular crop trial plots at the southern NSW site always tell a story about how the season is going.
There have been times when these trial plots and new varieties have flourished. And at other times the picture is exactly the same as many of the Riverina paddocks. The crops might be struggling or not as advanced as was initially hoped for.
One thing is for sure and that is Henty is certainly a place for socialising and catching up with friends.
The Henty Machinery Field Days run from September 18 to 20 this year.
