Hannam was reported for a bump on Temora’s Will Reinhold in the fourth quarter of the Magpies’ loss to the Kangaroos last Saturday at Victoria Park.
He could have taken a one-game suspension with an early guilty plea.
Hannam challenged the charge in a bid to clear his name but the tribunal agreed with the umpire’s report that the conduct was careless, the impact medium and the contact high, incurring a two-game ban.
Hannam will be free to play the round 18 game against Northern Jets at The Rock.
