Veteran Clint Renner steered the Demons out of trouble with a fine innings of 60no to earn player of the match honors.
Holbrook batted first and struggled through out to post 7/115 off its 35 overs with Ben McKenna, 41, and Charlie Harbison, 27, batting well.
Lockhart put on 21 for first wicket before a regular trail of wickets had them teetering at 7/72 before Renner got them home.
Tom Anthony and McKenna both bowled superbly to take three wickets each for Holbrook, while Jim Mitchell made a handy 21 to support Renner.

OSBORNE also defeated Holbrook in the under 15 grand final that was also played at Osborne over the weekend.
Batting first on Saturday morning a fine 52 from Ryan Collins and (0 from Joe Perryman set up a imposing total of 6/155 off its 40 overs.
In reply Holbrook struggled against some good bowling to be dismissed for 100 in the 30-second over.
George Carn took 3/15 for Osborne.
For Holbrook Ewan Mackinlay, Hunter Galvin and Braydon Eddy all made 18.
Mackinlay was also a member of the Holbrook Division One team.
Collins was awarded player of the match for his batting and two wickets with the ball.
Nick madden also took two wickets.
