The branch catered for Oriel McRae and Trevor Ridge’s wedding, held at Pleasant Hills in January, and president Lyn thanked all members for their help, also Andrew Creek for giving us some of his beautiful home grown fruit and vegetables.
We are supplying “Hilltop” Accommodation Centre in Albury with some homemade treats for their clients until July, so members were reminded to bring some more goodies to the next meeting.
Land Cookery Officer, Margaret Hasler gave all Land Cookery prize winners for the past year a list of the names of the cakes they are eligible to cook for the group day at Ganmain on March 12, in conjunction with the Group Handicraft Day.
Another thing, anyone who wishes to make jams, pickles or fruit cakes etc for the CWA to sell at the Royal Easter Show, could they please label them with their CWA number and ingredients, and bring them to the next meeting. The branch’s motion about teachers and qualifications has been approved, so is on the agenda for State Conference.
- Our next meeting will be held at the slightly later time of 11am at Henty in the Library on Wednesday, March 14.
