A SMALL party of interested identities met with a council representative to discuss options for the development of the northern section of the area known as The Government Dam. Support of the community will be required if an open space for activities can be created. Volunteer working bees and the like would be sought once a plan has been agreed upon.

HENTY Public School has initiated a welcome barbecue, hosted by their P&C to be held February 27. This year it was decided that each school community event would also be co-hosted by a group of students and their parents.
School captains: Jonathan Coe and Helena Brown; vice captains Angus White and Ashtyn Quee. House captains: Taylor: Isabel Lieschke and Lucy Kilo, vice captains Safi Farrell O’Reilly and Konnar Betts; McKay: Harry Doig and Josslyn Candy, vice captains Sam Scott and Kaylee Bahr. Band captains this year are Konnar Betts and Tyler Watson.
It seems that Levi and Ryder Corrigan had an exceptionally good swimming carnival with Levi breaking the record for eight-year boys 50m freestyle and Ryder breaking three records in the year 11 finals. Ryder broke records for 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly.

Thursday morning saw a small gathering at the Henty Coffee Shop celebrating Neil Parker’s hole-in-one. Its taken Neil many years to achieve this feat and he’s hoping it has friends.

WELCOME Tilley Morey on Valentine’s Day. Congratulations Jason and Rae Morey, respective grandparents and other family members for this addition. This news was on Sunday last, tinged with sadness with the passing of Mary Dale.
