START on the new Henty fire station is not all that far off. The old police stables should be down before the start date arrives. Hopefully there could be some items of Henty’s past uncovered during the works.

KEN and Elizabeth Dale spent New Year at Uluru. Two nights in Sydney and then a flight out to the Red Centre. Only 1 per cent of visitors ever see rain on Uluru and it was a real experience for Ken and Elizabeth to see many waterfalls following the arrival of a low-pressure system. The temperature did not exceed 35 degrees – cooler than Henty. On one walk, they covered three quarters of the way, seeing caves, paintings and waterfalls.
