The Chris Heywood-trained gelding is engaged at Murrumbidgee Turf Club on Monday after winning by almost nine lengths.
He has been given a two-kilogram penalty after his win, but Heywood is still weighing up whether he will go around in the Crichton Cup Benchmark 57 Handicap (1800m).
“I’m still undecided at this stage,” Heywood said.
“I’ll make a decision time before scratching time (Monday morning).”
Heywood is pleased by how well he’s pulled up.
The Albury victory continued some consistent form from Monsoon Charlie.
He’s yet to finish outside the top four in 11 runs this preparation.
The streak includes the two victories.
Heywood was thrilled with his performance on Saturday and how well the son of Myboycharlie has been performing since his first up effort in July.
“He went super,” he said.
“I thought we race well but I didn’t think he would go that well.
“He looked like a winner from a long way from home.”
Heywood also has seven runners in on Monday and will decide which maiden race Mosh Vain will start in.
