Every team in the HDCA has lowered their colours in the opening four rounds with Hannam believing early wins will be crucial.
“Last year a few sides stood out but this year it seems more even,” Hannam said.
“We beat Holbrook comfortably but they had a few good players like Dylan Fairall out that day.
“Looking at its side on paper, Osborne is probably the side to beat again.”
TRYC will get their first glance at Osborne at Yerong Creek on Saturday with Hannam believing patience is always crucial against the Tigers.
“Osborne’s bowling has always been good,” he said.
“They set a field and their bowlers bowl to it.
“You have to take a few risks to break it up a bit and that can backfire.
“The Perrymans can do everything and Osborne’s top four or five can all make big scores.”
TRYC is set to be at full strength with the exception of Tom Yates with Hannam, Ryan Kirkwood and Col Hagen shaping as key figures with the bat.
Culcairn take on Holbrook with both teams looking for consistency.
