Craig Anthony Middleton, 55, crashed on Adams Street in Jindera, down the road from his home, about 8.20pm on January 27.
He lost control of his black Hunter bike and slid into a drain, and was found unconscious and unresponsive by someone in a passing car.
Paramedics attended and he returned a blood alcohol reading of .072 in Albury hospital an hour after the crash.
Magistrate Tony Murray said the injuries were “horrific” and added it was lucky someone had driven past.
He was struggling with his father’s death at the time.
Middleton was conditionally discharged on a two-year good behaviour bond, and fined $100.
