The Holbrook team was hosted by Corowa District Landcare at Redlands Hill Nature Reserve for a working bee on Monday.
Supervisor Rhiannon Oates said the Holbrook group, which began work for 2017 at the start of March, would be undertaking their final projects between now and August.
“We’ve done work at Thurgoona, Nail Can Hill, Henty – doing tree planting, revegetation work and weed removal,” she said.
“This is a more of a woodland setting and it’s great being able to experience all the different environments.”
One of Corowa’s few big hills, the 150-acre reserve has been managed by the Landcare branch since 1997 and is the site of walks in the spring celebrating the orchards, lilies and other wildflowers.
The reserve also houses an old shearing shed at its entrance, a replica of what once sat in the paddock opposite, featured in Tom Robert’s famous painting Shearing the Rams.
