ST PAUL’S achieved a significant representation in the RAS Cross Country Carnival. Of the top 15 places, almost half were from St Paul’s. Placings went to: Joseph Muller 4th; Zac Klemke 5th; Cooper Lieschke 7th; Layla Bahr 9th; Rachael Aygun 11th; Daniel Knobel,12th and Andrew Male 14th.

HENTY’S Lifestyle Centre has had the final maintenance painting applied to its facade by Uwe and his workers. Again, local tradesmen were employed as they tend to have an element of community pride. Also, thanks to a recently approved Volunteers Grant, the new physiotherapy room is to have installed a split system air conditioner.

THE Henty & District Historic Society has approach Henty’s Fire Brigade and is awaiting confirmation that its request to secure the old police stables for preservations.
The stables, built at the turn of the 1900s, are in reasonably good nick and worthy of preservation. A number of volunteer groups are being approached to assist in its deconstruction.
Hopefully in the not too distant future it will be available for display.

Henty’s new firestation, with building to start in the following months, will be an impressive structure. Not only will it accommodate the activities of our local brigade but will also provide opportunities for training firefighters from the surrounding region.

TODAY sees nine Henty Men’s Shed members off to Albury CSU to undertake what is called the “Spanner in the Works” health check. It is a free check-up and members are assisting the CSU students in their education in their respective medical fields.
