Holbrook has attracted its first chain food stores with the opening of the new $6 million service centre.
The mexican chainstore Zambrero will open alongside another chain, Uncle Leo’s Roadhouse.
Local store, the Holbrook Bakery will also open alongside the big businesses.
The centre has provided a boost to employment in the town with around 50 jobs created at the various outlets.
Twelve people will work at the Caltex, 15 to 20 at Zambrero, 12 at the roadhouse and five at the bakery.
The centre started selling fuel on Wednesday September 21, the bakery opened on Thursday, Zambero on Friday and Uncle Leo’s next Wednesday October 5.
