
HENTY Public School students Blake Roulston, Elsa Meyer, Joel Zweck and Tahlie Weston attended the Enviro Champs Leadership Program at the Riverina Environmental Education Centre in Wagga recently. They were buzzing with excitement about what they learnt when they returned to school.

A CREATIVE Arts Showcase will be held at Billabong High School on November 30 and December 1. All local public schools have been invited to participate in this excellent opportunity. The event will provide an occasion for students to display their creative talents to a wide audience. It’s a fair way into the future but, planning is under way.

HENTY Active Arts turns one at the end of this financial year. The group held six workshops and 10 activities; the tenth is origami. All that is need is paper of all different colours for the origami tryouts. It would be interesting to see just how many people, of all ages, can master the art. TRASH & Treasure at the Henty Lifestyle Centre this Saturday, June 25. Pyjama Disco has been booked in for the Lifestyle Centre and will be managed by Big Moz, more on this later.

GREATER Hume Shire Council Youth Committee have two movies coming to Henty in July: Inside Out and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

HENTY Rotary Club have had made 30 signs which will be placed beside or near to botanical species found on the site. These signs will assist in the development of the educational side of the reserve. The club are looking for helpers to set the signs in the ground. Contact Ken Dale if interested.
