LOCKHART, as expected, completed an unbeaten season in Division Two to take out the grand final by seven wickets at Lockhart against Holbrook.
The match was all over in just 24 overs in one of the shortest finals matches in the history of the association.
Holbrook after batting first started poorly with the run out of Peter McKenna and it went from bad to worse as it lost its last six wickets for just five runs.
Lockhart lost three wickets in reply and it took just 11 overs. Jim Mitchell was named man of the match for his bowling figures of 4/3.
The premiership was Lockhart’s first since it went back to back in Division Two in 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons.
