The Holbrook markets are set for a year of success with a new venue and set dates.
Moving the markets from the Ten Mile Creek Gardens to the Commander Holbrook Memorial Park next to the submarine is hoped to boost the numbers of people attending the markets.
“It gives us more exposure and hits tourists submarine icon of holbrook,” one of the organisers Jacqui Graham said.
The markets have also got a new name, Holbrook Markets by the Sub. The first markets for this year will be held on Saturday February 27 from 8.30am to 2pm.
There will be a wide variety of stalls selling all kinds for merchandise from food to flowers to hair accessories.
A dedicated committee run the markets to create an event for the town with all members volunteering their time. The markets will be held on the fourth Saturday of every month.
