More than 400 people attended a service at the Henty Civic Centre on Monday.
“As I noted at the time of the Medical Centre upgrade, Henty is a community which just gets things done, and certainly one of the key drivers in town has been Graham (Booth),” said Member for Farrer Sussan Ley told the Eastern Riverina Chronicle.
Every strong country community needs a Graham Booth. He will be sadly missed; but I know his passion and enthusiasm will have inspired others to carry the baton.

“Every strong country community needs a Graham Booth. He will be sadly missed; but I know his passion and enthusiasm will have inspired others to carry the baton.”
In fact, it is the community commitment and tireless work for local businesses and events that he was so well known for. During the Henty service it was stated that Mr Booth was born in Sydney, and this was where he spent his first 17 years. In 1965 he was appointed to Ryan. Ryan was a one-teacher school. During this time he continued his courtship with Yvonne through the Henty telephone exchange with a late night call each week.
He married in 1967 and together with Yvonne had three children, Murray, Kylie and Bradley, and nine grandchildren. Joshua and Dominic, Jameson, Indy and Hunter, Elisha, Seth Ezekiel and Olivia.
The purchase of a haberdasher and mercer was followed by a carpet business and later this later expanded into the retail of workwear.
