Two 11-goal quarters to start the game simply blew Barellan away as the Magpies ran riot, 36.18 (234) to 4.1 (25) at Victoria Park.
Mitch Ward did most of the damage as he continued his strong start to the year with a nine-goal haul.
TRYC co-coach Andy Carey did not see the size of the victory coming but was certainly happy to take it.
“I wasn’t expecting that to be honest, but it’s a good percentage boost, which will be handy,” Carey said.
“We haven’t really been starting games that well this year so we focused a little bit more on trying to start well and we certainly did that.
“It was just one of those games where everything went right.”
Carey and Todd Hannam also chimed in with six goals, while Luke Hillier produced his best game of the year.
The only bad news for TRYC was a hamstring injury to Justin Driscoll.
