Henty Early Childhood Association parent volunteers will staff the safe and secure area, located in Petticoat Lane, from 9am to 5pm each day.
The Family Resting Place provides children, parents, grandparents and carers with a large, fenced-in play area, separate nappy-changing area, feeding high chairs, three screened-off cubicles for breast feeding and pram parking bay.
A kitchenette is equipped with a microwave oven and fridge.
Staff and parent volunteers from the Henty Early Childhood Association run the Family Resting Place on a roster system.
The facility is not a child minding centre and children must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years at all times.
Carers can take a break in the relaxed informal space, while children play with the toys, books, games and chalkboards supplied.
Families can also take advantage of the Kids Animal Farm, located out the front, giving children an up close and personal interaction with piglets, guinea pigs, rabbits and lambs.
Several hundred children take advantage of the centre each year at the field days.
