A man has handed himself into police after a double fatal stabbing with one victim found on a footpath and a second inside a home.

NSW police were called to a property in Quakers Hill, in Sydney's northwest, just before 5am on Sunday following reports of a disturbance.
Officers found a man laying on the footpath, suffering stab wounds. He was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
A woman in her 30s was found dead inside the home.
The injured man, also in his 30s, died at Liverpool Hospital at about 9am.
A 47-year-old man was arrested after he attended Blacktown Police Station.
A crime scene has been established and Strike Force Acoma detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
