A Queensland office manager was taken aback when he opened his draw to find a slumbering carpet python nestled inside.

The python had the drawer as its cozy hideout throughout the entire work day.

Promptly summoned to the scene, a snake catcher from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 came to the rescue, capturing and releasing the unexpected visitor.

"He's been working here all day," joked the snake catcher as he retrieved the python from the drawer.

IN OTHER NEWS:

As winter approaches, snake sightings are expected to dwindle as they reduce their activity and seek warmth.

Seeking stable temperatures to regulate their bodily functions, snakes often retreat underground during the colder months, striving to maintain their body temperature at around 25 degrees celsius.

However, their quest for warmth can lead them to seek refuge in unexpected places, including beneath household appliances like fridges and ovens, underneath beds, and as witnessed in this extraordinary case, even within the confines of office drawers.
