Voted Australia's Best Ski Resort for the sixth year in a row at the 2022 World Ski Awards, Thredbo is getting ready for a bumper ski season.

It's not even May yet and NSW's Thredbo has already experienced its massive first snowfall, transforming the destination into a winter wonderland earlier this month.

And the news gets better for powder hounds. Voted Australia's Best Ski Resort for the sixth year in a row at the 2022 World Ski Awards, Thredbo is getting ready for this year's ski season (June 10 to October 2), with a spate of exciting events, starting with the GH Mumm Long Lunch in the Kosciuszko Room and Cascades Restaurant on June 11.

If you're a morning person, you wouldn't want to miss the Sunrise Sessions (every Tuesday between July 25 and August 29) that'll take you to Australia's highest lifted point for sweeping views, gourmet breakfast complete with mimosas and first tracks down Australia's longest single run Supertrail.

My top travel tip is … If you’re flying to Sydney from anywhere in the world, pick a window seat far from the wing on the left-hand-side of the aeroplane. If the weather gods and flight path align, you’ll have the most incredible views of the Sydney Harbour and Opera House.
