On April 30 and May 1, Outback Queensland will come alive when the Longreach Showgrounds hosts Road to Rodeo, a taste of the iconic Mount Isa Mines Rodeo, aiming to bring together rodeo action and live rodeo rock.

There’s a packed program with bull rides, rope and tie, steer wrestling, team roping, a ladies’ barrel race, ladies’ breakaway roping and mini bull rides all set to entertain.

Come Saturday evening you can expect a full-on concert, with Australia country music royalty The Wolfe Brothers headlining and stars Bella Mackenzie, Luke Geiger & Bareback, James Johnston and plenty more all on the line up.

You can also catch Scotty the Barefoot Poet, live cooking demonstrations, competitor meet-and-greet sessions, and sheepdog performances.
