Island paradise is back on the menu as New Caledonia is re-opening to Australians. Vaccinated Australian travellers will no longer need to complete a quarantine period, only demonstrate a negative PCR test within 72 hours of departure, or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours.

New Caledonia Tourism General Manager Julie Laronde said: “It is a big day for the country as restrictions are being lifted. After more than two years of Covid closure, it is a very exciting time and the opportunity to rebuild tourism to New Caledonia. We cannot wait to welcome our Australian neighbours back to our shores.”
