All top five teams recorded victories on slow outfields, with Walla retaining its place on top of the ladder.
The Grasshoppers slugged out a low scoring encounter with Rand - Walla winning by three wickets with four overs to spare at Walla.
Batting first, Rand was smothered by the Walla bowling attack of Mark Taylor, Joel Merkel, Tom Simmons and the McCarthy boys.
Rand finished with 9/103 with Clint Ralston (43) and Bryce Swift (21) the best. In reply, Walla slumped to 4/28 and in big trouble.
However, Dan McCarthy (29), Merkel (19) and Jamie McCarthy (17 no) got them over line despite an awkward late loss of wickets.
Henty put an end to the finals hopes of Culcairn with an easy eight wicket win at Billabong High School oval.
Culcairn was bowled out for 57, with only skipper Vince Chaffey (34) standing up. Left arm seamers Chris Manns 4/12 and Dave White 2/6 did the damage.
Henty had no trouble in claiming victory in 15 overs, with Shannon Terlich (28) and captain Greg Schuller (20) leading the charge. Riley Knobel took two wickets for Culcairn.
Brock Burrum overcame a slow start at Burrumbuttock to post an easy win over Walbundrie by 84 runs.
The Saints compiled 9/206, with good contributions from Trent I'Anson (42), Darcy I'Anson (31) and Eddie Ziebarth (30). Brett Mugridge was the pick of the Tigers attack with three wickets.
Despite good innings from Daniel Thomas (46) and Blake Lieschke (29), the visitors' batting depth had no answer to the Saints' quality attack being bowled out for 122.
Slow bowler Adam I'Anson took 4/8 late in the innings to complement the good work of the opening bowlers and fielding effort.
Holbrook took a big step to finals qualification with a 62 run win over TRYC. The match was shifted from the turf pitch to the adjacent synthetic wicket at Yerong Creek.
Batting first, Holbrook benefited from some sloppy TRYC catching with Corey McCarthy (47) and Hamish Mackinlay (42) being dropped twice.
Some late order hitting from Robbie Mackinlay (57 no), Hayden Wishart and Tom Heriot had the Brookers finish on 7/208.
Ryan Kirkwood was superb taking 1/16 along, with Michael Driscoll 3/30 and Mark Alcorn, two wickets. Kirkwood and Alcorn then got the Creekers off to a flyer with the bat.
The pair were going at over 10 an over in its opening stand of 72. Once one wicket fell, the rest tumbled quickly with the highlight being the catch of McCarthy to dismiss Todd Hannam.
Hamish Mackinlay 4/24 and Cousin Andrew Mackinlay 3/38 took the first seven wickets. Alcorn finished with (49) and Kirkwood (32).
The final match was a low scoring clash between old rivals Lockhart and Osborne at Lockhart. The home side's finals hope took a blow in the five wicket loss.
They were bowled out for just 63, with the Osborne attack and fielding choking the run rate and creating the pressure that resulted in wickets.
Mick Madden 3/10 and Ed Perryman 2/8 were supported by Jayden Klemke, Joe Perryman, Ryan Dean and Dan Kennedy whose combined 18 overs conceded just 17 runs.
Osborne took a long time to secure the win with Jack Glanvill top scoring with (21), while Jordan Harrington 2/20 bowled superbly for the home side.
