Then, just half a game out of the top six is two-time CAW Hume premiers Rand.
Following losses, Culcairn, TRYC and Walbundrie are now out of finals contention.
The big surprise on Saturday was the convincing victory by Henty over ladder-leaders Brockelsby Burrumbuttock at Paech Oval, Henty.
The Swampies batted first and posted 6-228 with the association's leading run scorer Shannon Terlich making 68, Grant Gardiner 35 no and Daniel Hore-Smith 33.
In reply, the Saints never got going despite a dashing 44 from Davey Williams off 29 balls and a patient 42 from skipper Trent I'Anson.
Veteran left arm seamer Chris Manns took three wickets along with Brayden Pantling in the Swampies' best win in several seasons.
Walla jumped back into equal ladder leadership with a comfortable four-wicket win over Holbrook at Ten Mile Creek Ovals in South Holbrook.
A man of the match performance from former Holbrook junior Kieran McCarthy was the major difference in an otherwise competitive contest.
McCarthy, one of four brothers playing in the match, took 4/10 off eight overs and then made 57 as Walla successfully chased down Holbrook's 9/149.
The Brookers' batting was well short of what was needed on the fast outfield, with Hamish Mackinlay 34, Jim Grills 29 and Robbie Mackinlay 28 no performing best.
Tom Simmons, 30, offered good support for McCarthy as Walla made the runs with 13 overs to spare. Hamish Mackinlay and Nick Locke were best of the Holbrook bowlers.
Lockhart proved too strong for Culcairn winning by 80 runs at Billabong High School Oval in Culcairn and jumping into fourth place.
Young gun Jackson Wiedemann just missed a century being run out for 85, while Jordan Harrington made 40 in the Demons' total of 7/214.
Mitch Way took 4/33 and veteran Dai Jenkins 2/14 in eight overs. In reply, Culcairn were bowled out for 134 with Vince Chaffey (49) and Daniel Rooke (25) the only real contributors.
Harrington completed an outstanding match taking 5/17. Lockhart has a real chance to sure up a finals position when they play Rand this week.
Rand got back on the winners list with a convincing sixty three run win over ninth placed The Rock Yerong Creek at Yerong Creek.
Bryce Swift made his highest score of the season (66). He got good support from Kyle Porta (38), Dan Lieschke (28) and Will Swift (25) in their 8-194.
Mark Alcorn 3/39 and Todd Hannam 2/21 were best for TRYC. In reply, the home side were bowled out for 131 with Oscar Willis (34) and Alcorn (27 no) best.
Dan Lieschke 4/26 completed a good double, while Brayden Lieschke and Damien Wardius both took two wickets.
In the final match, Osborne staked its claim as a genuine flag contender with a four-wicket win over Walbundrie at Walbundrie.
In a low-scoring encounter, both sides struggled with the bat with Walbundrie being dismissed for 104 after winning the toss and batting.
Jarrod Miller with 32 top scored for Walbundrie as the middle order was decimated by the leg spin craft of Ed Perryman 5/17 and off-spin of Darren Howard 3/23.
In reply, Osborne had a poor start and at 5/48 alarm bells were sounding.
Howard, though, showed his poise and experience to guide Osborne home with Howard finishing unbeaten on 27.
Brett Mugridge, with two wickets, continued his great form who along with Jack Kotzur kept the visitors in the hunt for a long time.
