With at least one in three voters set to cast their ballots before October 31, Labor and the Liberal National Party are being asked about costings.

The LNP has indicated they could wait until one day before the polls close.

Ms Palaszczuk has promised that Labor will unveil its costings detailing $4 billion in new borrowings sooner.

"The final week of the campaign, at the end of the final week of the campaign, is far too late," she told reporters.

"So I'm quite sure that the treasurer ... has in his mind when he will talk about those $4 billion in borrowings and go into detail."

Liberal National Party leader Deb Frecklington said her costings will be released after she's made her pledges.

She said that would be before a planned leader's debate at 4pm on October 30, the day before the election.

Ms Frecklington said it was up to voters to choose if they cast their ballots before or after the LNP released their costings.

"Voters are welcome to vote after we release them," she said.

The LNP leader wouldn't say if she was encouraging voters to wait for her costings or not.

"That's up to the people, so yeah, if they'd like to," she said.

"That's up to the people of Queensland. What I have got is an election period that we are running just like the premier. You need to remember Labor in Queensland have not released a budget."

Ms Frecklington was in Yeppoon on Tuesday, where she promised $50 million for tourism marketing.

The sector has been hit hard by COVID-19 border restrictions.

Ms Frecklington said the money would be given to the state's 13 regional tourism organisations for marketing.

She did not explain how marketing tourism could boost the sector with the state's borders still closed.

The LNP leader also said Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young had not briefed her on whether it was safe to reopen the borders.

"We've always said that borders should not be set-and-forget, and shouldn't be closed for one day longer than they need to," Ms Frecklington said.

"But importantly Queensland must regain its title as the destination of choice for Australians."

The LNP leader also announced $50 million to set up a TAFE centre of excellence in Rockhampton.

Meanwhile, Ms Palaszczuk pledged $880 million in stimulus for local councils.

That pledge includes $600 million for capital works and $280 million for local transport infrastructure.

"We have always backed local governments like we have through the global COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters like fires, floods, or cyclones," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"We have stood shoulder to shoulder with our local governments to create jobs right across the state and we're not going to stop now."

The premier also sought to rein in MPs Craig Crawford and Brittany Lauga, and Burdekin candidate Mike Brunker, for putting the LNP behind One Nation on how-to-vote cards.

She said official Labor party policy is to preference One Nation last.

"They'll be read the riot act, I'll tell you that," Ms Palaszczuk said.
