The final six places feature two changes from last year, with Lockhart and TRYC taking their spots inside the six at the expense of Holbrook and Culcairn.
The most intriguing match-up for week one of finals will be played at Rand, where the defending premiers will take on Walbundrie - the side they beat in the decider last year.
The other two matches are just as exciting with Osborne (second) taking on TRYC (fifth), while Walla (third) will host Lockhart (fourth).
The three winners plus the highest ranked loser will progress to the second week of finals, with only Rand guaranteed of a week two appearance.
The final round's best match was at Walbundrie, where the home side just failed to beat Osborne who won a tight contest by just two wickets.
Jarrod Millar maintained his excellent form with 61 and Andrew Lewis 69 as Walbundrie batted first after winning the toss and compiling 6/189.
In reply, Osborne paced itself superbly to get the runs with one over to spare with veteran Darren Howard (64 no) and Ed Perryman (46) leading the way.
Brett Mugridge claimed 4/37 and Alex McMaster 1/27 to be the Tigers' best bowlers. Sam McCready was Osborne's best bowler, taking 3/31.
The Lockhart side jumped ahead of near-rivals TRYC with a comfortable 66-run win at Lockhart.
Veteran seamer Clint Renner again starred with figures of 4/15.
TRYC, needing to run down 174, were never in the hunt as Renner and Jordan Harrington (3/36) piled on the early pressure.
Ryan Kirkwood (26) top scored for TRYC. Earlier in the day, Zac Burkinshaw made 61 and Brad McMillian 25 for the Demons.
Kirkwood and Todd Hannam each took 3/26 for TRYC.
Lockhart have been big improvers in the second part of the season and will go to Walla confident of keeping their season alive.
Walla overcame a few nervous moments in their run chase to defeat Henty by five wickets at Henty, to guarantee a third-place finish.
The visiting team's bowlers were superb, bowling Henty out for 100 with only Grant Gardiner (44) showing any resistance.
Joel Merkle took his season wicket total to 29 with a four-wicket haul, while fellow opener Jamie McCarthy took 3/18.
McCarthy top scored in the run chase with 32 as the Swampies bowled well to have Walla 3/32 and 5/80 before they got the runs with five down.
QUOTE
Holbrook and Brock Burrum showed exactly why they won't play finals with some fairly ordinary batting in a low-scoring encounter at the Holbrook Sporting Complex.
The Saints were bowled out for 64 in the 20th over, with only Trent IAnson (48) troubling the energetic Holbrook attack.
Corey McCarthy finished with five wickets in another fiery spell, while Lewis Bowen took two wickets in an impressive fielding effort from Holbrook.
In reply, Holbrook made hard work of the run chase with a defiant 34 from Bailey Martin the top score. The Brookers lost seven wickets in passing the Saints.
Rand wrapped up the minor premiership with a 100-run win over Culcairn at Culcairn as both sides' top orders struggled.
Rand, after winning the toss and batting, found early trouble at 3/7 before Bryce Swift made a superb 82 to set up the Pigeons at 8/157.
Dai Jenkins again was the Lions' best with the ball, taking 3/18 off eight overs, while swing bowler Norman Barlow took 2/22.
The Lions' run chase started disastrously, losing four wickets for just two runs, before Barlow (21) and Chaffey (120) saved some face.
The Rand bowling attack was typically tight and created plenty of pressure, with Nathan I'Anson, 3/13, and Brayden Ralston, 2/12, the best.
