Billabong Crows footballer Jeremy Martin-Heath died when his Toyota HiLux utility crashed on Clear Hills Road at Oaklands around 5.30pm on Friday.

Mr Martin-Heath had played at the club since he was a junior, his grandfather Kevin Martin is the president.

The club came together on Saturday to support one another after his death, team mate Mark Beale, who also coached Mr Martin-Heath in the past, said the club is "utterly devastated".

"He would do anything for you and that's how he was on the footy field and as a bloke as well," he told The Border Mail.

"I coached him in the juniors and have really seen him grow up through the footy club.

"About 30 of us came together so we weren't alone on Saturday, it is really tragic, but we will just remember him for his infectious smile and his selflessness.

"That is the best thing about small towns and our club, we all support each other."

Friends took to social media over the weekend to remember Mr Martin-Heath.

"Another legend taken away from us too soon. Fly high Jezza, love you and your cheeky smile. Keep the party going up there brother going to miss you #37," Lachie Wassink said.

"Fly high Jez love ya mate," Beau Routley said along side a photo of the pair playing football.

NSW police are investigating the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
