Lockhart Bowls Report
The second round of business house bowls saw some close games with B.T.S finishing on top with 37 points, followed by the Cricketers on 36 points and the Railway Rollers and the Lockhart Ex-Servicemen's Club in third spot with 35 points each.
Just a reminder that there are no bowls this Thursday night due to the long weekend.
Lockhart welcomed The Rock and Yerong Creek on Saturday for the Shire Shield which was won by Yerong Creek. The Rock were runners-up, and a great day was had by all. Thanks to the Lockhart Lady Bowlers for the great salads and Terry and Riley Mildren who were our cooks for the day. Jackpot Pairs will start up again after the long weekend.
Winners of the Crystals Chinese vouchers were Petri, Baz White and Skip Jamie Hogan.
The jackpot was not won this week, $170.
Names for this week must be in by 5.45pm for 6pm start.
In the shire challenge, played at Lockhart, Yerong Creek took home the shield.
Congratulations to the host club - the green and surrounds were a picture. Games were followed by a great barbecue lunch. This Sunday, January 26 is the annual Dennis Owen shield at The Rock against Wagga.
A couple more names are required.
