A RIVERINA man has been charged for a large number of alleged firearms offences after police raided his home.

The region's police officers executed a search warrant at the property on Reka Road, Adelong, at about 2pm yesterday after receiving information.
Inside the premises, officers allegedly found 30 unregistered long-arm guns, an unregistered pistol and a can of pepper spray.
Thousands of rounds of ammunition and 12 registered guns belonging to the occupant were also seized.

The 57-year-old Wagga man, Roger Byron Leslie Weaver, was arrested and taken to Tumut Police Station where he was charged with being a holder of category A or B licence without having approved storage and possessing more than three unregistered firearms (one is prohibited pistol).
He has also been charged with possessing shortened firearms without authority, possessing an unauthorised pistol, and possessing unauthorised prohibited firearm.
He appeared in Wagga Bail Court today where he was granted conditional bail.
