Winner was Sandy Newton. NTP was Ellen Pratt on the 15th. Heather Beattie went to the left, Jane Yates to the right, Sandy Newton too short. Then came Alison Campbell. Well, Alison thought she had the shot then along came Ellen Pratt!
The Coffee Shop Award went to Carole Singe for just hanging around. Out on the course, Ellen drowned two balls in the dam on the 7th. Trees were hit and the other ladies found the water in all of the drains. This Thursday is a fun game. The ladies are playing with the men and you are only allowed three clubs, 9am for a 9.30am hit off.
On Thursday, June 6, Henty Ladies Golf held its annual golf tournament.
Forty-one ladies played.
Players came from Tumbarumba, Holbrook, Thurgoona, Wagga City, Wagga Country, Corowa, Howlong, Jindera, The Rock, and Culcairn.
It was a stableford event.
The A Grade winner was Linda Coombes. Runner-up was Carla Bender on a countback from Sandra Saunders. B Grade, Gale Bramich; runner-up Heather Hasten on a C/B from Sandy Newton.
C Grade, Teresa Waters; runner-up, Ellen Pratt on a C/B Liz Keogh.
NTP: A Grade, Linda Coombes; B Grade, Anne Feurhardt and C Grade, Lyn Crocker.
Visitor's Trophy went to Joan Parker.
Straightest Drive: A Grade, Jenny Larkin. B Grade, Carol McGrath. C Grade, Liz Keough.
Longest Drive: A Grade. Louise Holden. B Grade, Didy McKay. C Grade, Teresa Waters.
The raffle winners were Alison Schuster and runner-up, Mary Dixon.
