The NTP on the 13th was Yates and the Coffee Shop award went to Ellen Pratt.
Out on the course the dam on the 12th is still causing some grief. Sandy Newton and Heather Beattie both found the water. Newton also lost two balls to the crows.
On the 4th tee Marilyn Broughan hit a great drive straight into a tree and the ball came back past the tee and nearly cleaned up the girls.
On the 7th Skeers didn't go into the dam but Easter Bunny nearly ended his life!
With the new rule, when you are in a hazard you can remove any sticks well. Alison Campbell wants a chain saw on the 6th to remove a tree from the hazard. The preferred lines are now 30cms.
Our sincere sympathy to Ellen Pratt on the passing of her mum.
And congratulations to Marilyn and Mick Broughan on their 50th wedding anniversary.
Next week is a stroke round and also Vets Day at 9am for a 9.30am hit off.
CULCAIRN: Culcairn Golf Club's Opening day was held on Sunday with a two person ambrose. It was great to welcome visitors from Howlong, Albury and Thurgoona.
The day was sponsored by Fox and Lillie of Culcairn and the winners were father and son, Roger and Tom Russell with a great score of 68 off the stick, net 60.25. Runners up were Michael Roberts and B Milinaric with 68/62.50.
Other scores: Bruck Kilpatrick and D Milinaric with 75/65; Martin Smith and Heather Lowe 80/67.75; Smoky Dawson and Greg Kent 76/69.75; Joe and Sue Warren 95/76.25; Phil Frost and Rino Feltrin 88/77.5; Damien and Bella Shanahan 94/78.25.
NTP on third was won by Smokey Dawson and Michael Roberts was nearest on 17th (very close to a hole in one). Both of these golfers got their birdies too.
Sunday is the Culcairn Butchery trophy and is a stableford. This is also the start of the Eclectic competition.
