The daily winner of round one was Rino Feltrin with 21 stableford points on a countback from one of our new members, Leif Kamba.
Other scores were Phil Frost 20, Heather Lowe 20, Adrian Feuerherdt 18, Greg Kent 18, Gordon Webb 17, Martin Smith 16, Bruce Kilpatrick 15, Tony Nelson 14, Joe Warren 14, Matthew Lowry 14, Helen Moses 12, Stuart Lowe 12.
Nearest the Pin on third was H Lowe (and yes she did put it in to get a “birdie”), and 9th was P Frost.
The second round is Sunday, March 10, third round March 17, and final round on March 31.
The winner of the championships will be the golfer with the best three cards.
If you were unable to play in the first round you can still qualify by playing each of the next three rounds.
If you are unable to play on a Sunday, contact Phil on 6029 7844 and an arrangement may be able to be made for you to play with another member on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
Golfers with or without a Golflink handicap are eligible. Championship winner will win $200 and runner-up $50, third $30.
The official opening day for the 2019 season is on Sunday, April 7. The event will be two person ambrose, so get yourself a partner and come along.
