The event attracted record entries with close to 200 people participating in events from sub-junior through to spring distance.
Local competitor Briony Mazzocchi was a dominant force in the women’s sprint distance event and took out the win. This win puts her in a leading position in the Riverina Tri Series with two events to go. Triathlons at Holbrook and West Wyalong will complete the series.
Wagga triathlete Jake Bergman won the sprint distance triathlon at The Rock. Meanwhile, big entries were attracted in the enticer triathlon, the junior events and the sub-junior categories.
The triathlon also put the best of community spirit on show. Volunteers helped to make the event run smoothly with traffic control and marshaling roles.
