The aim was to have some fun and raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
Event organiser Chris Willis said the matches were played with seven-a-side teams and a total of 28 players participated.
He said the “pink bash” event was a first for Culcairn but given the support from local businesses and players it was likely to become a regular fixture after raising more than $900.
Mr Willis said the generosity of people from the area helped to make the event such a success.

He said areas like Culcairn and the Riverina certainly supported events such as this. He said the meat for the day was supplied by Travs Henty Butchery and their was further support from the Henty IGA, Culcairn Foodworks, Nat Stroh Painting and Fastener Specialists, Albury.
Mr Willis said a family member was diagnosed with breast cancer and this was the impetus for running this “pink-themed” event in the eastern Riverina.
He said players were thrilled with the cool change in the weather after a week of extreme temperatures last week.
“It was a perfect day for playing cricket, and the teams were all wearing Big Bash colors,” he said.
