The Pigeons, led by a superb knock from Mark Kreutzberger (70), and Bryce Swift (26), posted 6-140 after being sent into bat.
Holbrook bowled well but were let down by a shoddy catching display that put down five chances including three of Kreutzberger.
The Brookers reply was never a threat as they lost early wickets to collapse to 6-40 before making 108 with Will Heriot (38) and Andrew Mackinlay (21) the best.
All Rand bowlers impressed with variety and depth, with Mitch Thomas and Kreutzberger leading the way with two wickets.

LOCKHART pulled off one of the season’s biggest surprises with a comfortable 41-run win at home over the in-form Walbundrie.
Batting first, the home side led by two superb innings from Brad McMillian (63) and Ryan Argus (59), finished its innings with 3-184.
Former Tumbarumba representative players Nathan Morton and Jarrod Miller were the best of the Tigers bowlers.
Morton backed it up with the bat making 77 in a reply of 9-143.
Clint Renner, Liam Widdup, Jim Mitchell and Zac Burkinshaw all took two wickets for Lockhart.

BURRUMBUTTOCK, led by a brilliant century from Trent IAnson, almost pulled off the season’s biggest upset against Osborne, at Burrumbuttock.
IAnson led a gallant run chase by the visitors falling just two runs short of victory in a thrilling finish.
IAnson finished with 109 after making 92 the previous week.
In a high-scoring encounter Nick Perryman (77) helped Osborne make 9-204.
Tim Doherty was the pick of the Burrumbuttock bowlers with 3/44.
At 2-139 the home-side were a big chance with Keith Tallent (27) and a swashbuckling 41 from opener Dave Williams assisting IAnson almost get there.
Requiring just four off the last over, Osborne’s Nathan Fuller held his nerve in brilliant fashion as the ladder leaders dodged a massive upset.

CULCAIRN pulled off an amazing come-from-behind victory against TRYC at Yerong Creek and in doing so kept alive its finals’ hopes.
Chasing the home-side’s imposing tally of 202 they looked shot when they were struggling at 7-108 before Daryl Webb combined with Mitch Way and Dai Jenkins.
A 75-run stand for the ninth wicket got the Lions home with Webb making 70 and Jenkins 19 no.
Aiden Ridley (48) and Nick Mazzochi (41) were excellent for TRYC, while Normy Barlow 3-25 and Cameron Knust 2-39 bowled well for Culcairn.
Ryan Kirkwood, 3-26, and Todd Hannam, 4-30, bowled brilliantly for TRYC, but it was the great work of Webb and the tail that got Culcairn home.

WALLA jumped into equal third place with Rand, after thrashing Henty by 137 runs, with skipper Tom Simmons starring with a century.
Simmons made 106 to take his season run tally to 386.
He has also taken 18 wickets in a stellar season for the Green and Whites.
Walla made 6-202 after winning the toss and batting.
Steve Hallam took two wickets for Henty including that of Simmons.
In reply Henty made 65 after at one stage being 2-46 and looking a chance before Jaxon Lezius and Mitch Lauritzen both took three wickets to wrap up the innings in under 20 overs.

THE competition will have a general bye in club cricket for the long weekend but will have a big representative clash on Sunday against CAW District.
The match is part of a big day of Cricket Albury Wodonga T20 matches with the CAW Hume v CAW District being a curtain-raiser to the CAW Provincial grand final.
The game against CAW District is at 1pm at Martin Park in Wodonga with the CAW provincial GF between North Albury and Lavington to follow.
Despite a few unavailable for the inaugural clash Hume selectors have still come up with a strong side from the 10 teams.
It will be the first time CAW Hume have competed in representative cricket since the amalgamation of the Holbrook and Brocklesby DCA’s.
