This week hashtags like #growforgood have been making the rounds on social media to highlight the industry and its importance to our economy.
It is a chance to celebrate the diversity of this region too. The Riverina is often described as the food bowl of Australia. The area is also home to the Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre which holds claim as being the largest sheep and lamb selling facility in the world.
Diversity is what makes southern NSW and the Riverina so rich.
From the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA) and irrigated rice and cotton crops through to the dryland winter cropping areas around Wagga there is certainly a plethora of different operations to be celebrated.
Send your National Agriculture Day photos to nreynolds@fairfaxmedia.com.au and we will include the images in our galleries.
