At about 10.05pm, police attached to the Albury Highway Patrol detected a vehicle travelling 202km/h northbound just south of Holbrook.
The vehicle, a Volkswagen Eos sedan, was stopped a short time later and police spoke with the driver, who produced an international licence.
The driver was issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h ($2435) and a notice for suspension of driving privileges in NSW for six months.
At 11.30pm on the same night, police detected the same vehicle travelling north on the Hume Highway, about 25km north of Holbrook.
Police stopped the vehicle and found the same person to be driving despite having their driving privileges suspended.
The driver said they had to travel to Canberra to start a new job the following morning, NSW Traffic and Highway Patrol Command said.
The driver was placed under arrest and taken to Albury Police Station and was subsequently charged for driving while suspended.
Police did not confiscate the vehicle as the driver was not the owner of the vehicle.
