The mayoral elections were held at the council meeting on Monday night.
Mayor Rodger Schirmer was re-elected for another two-year term, ending September 2020.
Cr Schirmer was elected to council in 2012 and served as deputy mayor before being elected as mayor for the first time in 2016.
Deputy mayor Greg Verdon of The Rock was also re-elected unopposed for the same two-year term.
Cr Verdon was elected to council in 2012.
Lockhart Shire Council is comprised of nine councillors who represent three wards, A, B and C, comprised of three councillors each.
Cr Schirmer serves ward A and Cr Verdon serves ward C.
The shire serves the towns of Lockhart, The Rock, Yerong Creek, Pleasant Hills and Milbrulong.
The next council meeting will be held on October 15 at the council chambers on Green Street, Lockhart.
