Now that we are officially into spring our eyes turn to some of the more significant events that are held annually in Lockhart Shire this time of year.

Later this month on the September, September 23 the Lockhart Agricultural and Pastoral Society will present the Lockhart Show.
The Rock Show Society will be putting on its annual show at The Rock on October 20.
Both events guarantee a great variety of family entertainment.
The Lockhart Picnic Races are always a major drawcard and this year will be held on Friday, October 5.
The ever-popular Spirit of the Land Festival will be held the following weekend on October 13 and 14.
Spirit of the Land Lockhart is the shire’s premier festival event and attracts several thousand people to Lockhart annually on the second week of October.
On November 24 you can “Get Ya Rocks Off” at the Rock B&S whilst this year’s The Rock Charity Pro Rodeo is set for December 15.
Held for the first time in 2017 this event raises valuable funds for our local charities.
There are other events too numerous to mention here that are also worth keeping in mind.
These events are important to the local community as they not only generate economic activity and tourism dollars but also provide a sense of community identity and pride.
