Roads have been graded, roadside drains cleaned, tree branches trimmed, new drains completed. With more than 800 exhibitors booked, the event is on track for another great year.
Unfortunately, many areas of NSW and Victoria are currently experiencing drought conditions. The physical and mental health of our farmers will again be in the spotlight.
In light of what is shaping up to be a tough year, HMFD is introducing the HMFD Health Hub this year.
Head to site number 565, which is just east of the site office in the HMFD Courtesy Area.
Tatton Medical Centre will have doctors and staff on site who are available for skin checks, pathology and general medical advice.
They will be bulk billing on the day and any test results will be sent back to your own GP. Important advice regarding mental health will also be available from these doctors and staff.
For those with aching muscles or simply feeling the stress of the season, Shiree Gilles from Balance Within Remedial Massage will also be available for chair massages in the Health Hub.
In the same location, you can rest your weary feet and have a complimentary cuppa and biscuit. Capably staffed by the St Paul's Lutheran Ladies Guild from Henty, there is tea and coffee available for field days patrons.
A visit to the Henty Machinery Field Days allows farmers to combine business and pleasure and always provides valuable respite from life on the land.
