St Paul’s Feast and Open Day was a considerable success. It was a very special day that allowed the school to thank all. A special thanks to parents and friends who helped on the day. Their students certainly had a great day, starting with a chapel service led by Pastor Kees and then they enjoyed two workshops run by staff.
Students worked through problem-solving activities using robotics and created a beautiful cross from wire and beads. In the last session of the day, year 6 students provided fun activities and games.
They also had a football kicking competition, face-painting, and guess the number of lollies in the jar, a very entertaining disco and two great jumping castles. A delicious barbecue lunch was welcome on a cold winter’s day.
Quilling is the rolling of thin strips of paper, shaping them to make art.
First done by monks during the Renaissance period to decorate their religious objects, it has survived the ages. You can try your hand at the Lutheran School art room at from 6pm on Tuesday, July 24.
All materials will be supplied on the night for a small cover fee.
Contact Debbie Stanley at the post office for more information.
Henty Men’s Shed will relocate their morning tea to the coffee shop this week. Members please take note.
